What are Financial Limits?
Financial Limits are tools that can help you control how much money you deposit into your account. We offer two types: Deposit Limit Net Limit You can set either type or both. You can also set limits for more than one period..
What is a Deposit Limit?
A Deposit Limit caps the total amount of money you can deposit into your account during a fixed period. Withdrawals do not reduce the amount used or increase the amount you can deposit. For example, if you set a £50 Deposit Limit and deposit £50 during the current fixed period, you will not be able to deposit again until that period resets. If you withdraw £25, you will still have no remaining Deposit Limit capacity.
What is a Net Limit?
A Net Limit caps the amount you deposit minus completed withdrawals made during the same fixed period. Completed withdrawals may therefore increase the amount you can deposit under your Net Limit. For example: Your Net Limit is £500. You deposit £600 during the current fixed period. You complete withdrawals totalling £200 during the same period. Your net amount used is £400. You have £100 remaining under your Net Limit. Any Deposit Limit or separate restriction on your account will still apply.
What is the difference between a Deposit Limit and a Net Limit?
A Deposit Limit counts the total amount deposited during the fixed period. Withdrawals do not affect it. A Net Limit is calculated by subtracting completed withdrawals from deposits made during the same fixed period. This means that a withdrawal may increase the amount available under a Net Limit, but it will not increase the amount available under a Deposit Limit.
What fixed periods can I choose?
You can set a Deposit Limit or Net Limit for: 24 hours One week One calendar month The fixed periods operate as follows: 24 hours: The limit operates in consecutive fixed 24-hour periods. Your exact start and reset times are displayed on your Financial Limits page. Weekly: The period runs from Monday to Sunday and resets at midnight at the start of each Monday. Monthly: The period runs from the first to the last day of each calendar month and resets at midnight at the start of the 1st of each month. Your Financial Limits page will show the applicable next reset date and time for each limit.
What does a fixed period mean?
A fixed period has a defined start and end point. All relevant transactions made during the period remain in the calculation until the whole period ends. Transactions do not drop out individually as they become 24 hours, 7 days or one month old. When the fixed period ends, the relevant totals reset together and a new fixed period begins.
What happens if I set a limit part-way through a period?
The current fixed period may already have started when you set your limit. Any applicable deposits already made during that fixed period will count towards a Deposit Limit. For a Net Limit, applicable deposits and completed withdrawals already made during the fixed period will be included in the calculation.
Why is my existing limit now called a Net Limit?
Limits that calculate deposits minus withdrawals will now be called Net Limits. The term Deposit Limit will only be used for a limit that caps the total amount deposited without subtracting withdrawals. Your existing limit amount will not change solely because it has been renamed.
How is my existing Net Limit changing?
Your current Net Limit will change from a rolling calculation to a fixed-period calculation. Previously, individual deposits and withdrawals stopped counting when they became older than the selected rolling period. Under the new fixed-period calculation, deposits and completed withdrawals remain in the calculation until the whole fixed period ends. The totals then reset together. Your Financial Limits page will show your current fixed period, amount used, amount remaining and next reset time.
Will my existing limit amount change?
No. Your existing limit amount will not change solely because the limit is being renamed or moved to fixed periods. The amount shown as used or remaining may change because it will be calculated using the new fixed-period rules.
Will my limit reset when the change is introduced?
You will not automatically receive a completely fresh deposit allowance merely because the system is changing. Deposits and, for a Net Limit, completed withdrawals made during the applicable current fixed period will be included in the calculation. Your Financial Limits page will show the amount used and remaining when the change takes effect.
Can I set both a Deposit Limit and a Net Limit?
Yes. You can set: A Deposit Limit. A Net Limit. Both types of limit. Different limits for 24 hours, one week and one calendar month. Every active limit will apply. A deposit will only be accepted if it is within all Financial Limits and other restrictions currently applying to your account.
What happens if I have limits for different periods?
The most restrictive limit will always apply. For example, if you have a £10 Deposit Limit for 24 hours and a £100 weekly Deposit Limit, you can deposit no more than £10 during each 24-hour period. This means the maximum you could deposit over the weekly period would be £70. If the remaining amount under another limit is lower, that lower amount will apply.
What happens if I have both a Deposit Limit and a Net Limit?
Both limits will remain active. Before accepting a deposit, we will check the amount against your Deposit Limit, Net Limit and any other restriction applying to your account. The deposit will only be accepted if it is within every applicable limit. For example, a withdrawal may restore capacity under your Net Limit, but it will not restore capacity under your Deposit Limit.
What happens when I reach a limit?
You will not be able to make a deposit if it would cause you to exceed any active Financial Limit. Your Financial Limits page will show: Which limits are active. How much of each limit you have used. How much remains available. The current fixed period. When each period will reset. Customer Support cannot override a customer-set Financial Limit.
When does a new Financial Limit take effect?
When you set a new Financial Limit, we will tell you when it comes into effect. Your confirmation screen will show the relevant fixed-period start, end and next reset date and time. Deposits and completed withdrawals already made during the current period may be included in the amount used.
Can I reduce my Financial Limit?
Yes. A reduction will normally take effect immediately. If you have already used more than the new lower limit, you will not be able to make another deposit until sufficient capacity becomes available after the relevant fixed period resets.
Can I increase my Financial Limit?
You can request an increase, but it will not take effect immediately. After making your request: A cooling-off period of at least 24 hours will apply. Your existing lower limit will remain active. After the cooling-off period, you must return and confirm that you still want the increase. The increase will only take effect after you have confirmed it. The increase will not be applied automatically if you do not return to confirm it.
Can I remove a Financial Limit?
A request to remove a Financial Limit is treated in the same way as an increase. A cooling-off period of at least 24 hours will apply, and you must return and confirm the removal before it takes effect. Your existing limit will remain active until the process is completed.
How can I set or review a Financial Limit?
You can access your Financial Limits through: The Financial Limits link on our homepage. The Responsible Gambling section of your account. Our deposit pages. You can enter an amount appropriate to your personal circumstances. We will not choose or suggest an amount for you.
Will I be reminded to review my Financial Limits?
We will periodically prompt you to review your account and transaction information and consider whether your Financial Limits remain appropriate. You can also choose to receive more frequent reminders through your account settings.
Do Financial Limits apply to my other accounts?
Customer-set Financial Limits applied through this page only apply to your Zebrabingo account and do not automatically apply to other websites operated by Solaya Group Limited. Separate restrictions applied by us for safer gambling or regulatory reasons may apply across other accounts linked to you and cannot be changed through the Financial Limits page.
